Kekay and her Cubs
The International Young Writers Competition was organised by Pollyanna in her role as Global Ambassador for Wildlife Warriors. You can read the winning entry at www.pollyannapickering.co.uk/taleswinner.htm
along with a selection of the runner’s up in each age group.
Entrants had to theme their stories around one of the conservation organisations supported by Wildlife Warriors, and the winner, Jenna Townsend of Houston, Texas chose to write about cheetahs.
As part of the competition prize, Pollyanna agreed to complete a painting inspired by the winning entry. This painting ‘Kekay and her Cubs’ was unveiled for the first time at Pollyanna’s ‘Wildness’ exhibition. It has now been published as a limited edition print. Number One was sent to Jenna (picture left with her prize), and the rest of the edition will be sold with £50.00 from each picture being donated to the CCF to support their work.
